Counselling

Life has its complexities and intricacies and is a remarkable journey far from predictable. Because of its unpredictable twists and turns, highs and lows, we all need some support at times to help us navigate its unexpected detours. Some people have experienced trauma in their life, some may feel anxious, depressed, de-motivated or disconnected from others. Some people may have suffered loss or bereavement and others may deal with family challenges either from parenting, family conflict or relationship with their partner. Some may describe a lack of purpose in life. Others, may come to therapy because they deal with adoption complexities, either they have been adopted when young or decided to become adoptive parents. Some people choose therapy because they want a space to check in and feel listened to or simply want to improve the quality of their life. There are many reasons people choose to see a therapist and there are no taboos in therapy.

Counselling offers the chance to voice your thoughts and feelings and avoid bottling up your worries, which can let us feel even more depleted. Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a form of therapy that spans hundreds of years and is a great therapeutic tool which can be used to address a variety of issues from phobias, anxiety, pain management, enhancing sport performance to smoking cessation. Hypnotherapy uses relaxation techniques to relax the body and facilitates a heightened state of awareness and attention.

Under hypnosis, you are experiencing an altered state of consciousness, which means that your focus shifts from the conscious everyday world, inward, into your thoughts. This helps process information differently, and that is when we are able to re-write our story.

Hypnotherapy is not mind control and you will not be asleep! Hypnosis is a technique involving two-way communication and you will be interacting with your therapist during the session.
