Hi, I'm Ramona and I would like to offer you a warm welcome to my page. It is a great honour to step along side you on your healing journey!

My Story

My professional journey began 19 years ago, with a desire to help people overcome some of the challenges they are facing at different stages in life and took me on working with families and individuals from different walks of life, some facing situations of homelessness or imprisonment. Following a career in health and social care, I decided to train as a therapist having experienced the transformative effects of therapy myself at a crossroad point in my life, and this made me want to share my learnings with others.

My own journey through life taught me about compassion and the importance of keeping an open-mind to the opportunities that may arise from our struggles and this is something I carry in my work with clients. When we are consciously and actively wanting to understand our selves, we are pursuing the fundamental human need to maximising our potential. My practice is centred on working with your goals, visions and aspirations.

You may feel lonely, worried, helpless, hopeless about the future or at your bleakest moment. Seeking therapy is having the courage to take the first step and this makes all the difference. Sitting with you side by side, my aim is to support you find healthier ways of managing relationships, stress and anxiety and work towards empowering and preparing you to handle every day issues with more ease.

I believe that therapy is a two way experience. As we connect and share the experience, we open ourselves to something new and it is from this place that we can create change. I  think of therapy as an adventure into our inner landscapes, a process of self-discovery, which requires building trust, mutual respect, feeling understood and emotionally “held” and a belief in our capacity for growth.

I have a qualification in Integrative Counselling and Hypnotherapy and I am an EMDR practitioner. My practice is trauma informed and my approach to therapy is holistic and multi disciplinary which offers me a unique set of skills and experience which I can tailor to my clients' individual needs. Having worked as an adoption social worker for many years, I also have experience in supporting adopted adults and adoptive parents navigate the specificities and complexities of adoption. My experience in adoption has given me a deeper understanding of attachment and how our past experiences and trauma can manifest in our life into adulthood and this is a central part of my work.
