Hi, I'm Ramona and I would like to offer you a warm welcome to my page. It is a great honour to step along side you on your healing journey!

My Story

From my early work as a social worker to my current practice as a therapist, I have witnessed how much courage it takes to face difficult experiences — and how meaningful it can be to begin understanding them.

My journey in supporting others began almost 20 years ago when I started working as a social worker, supporting families through complex and often emotionally demanding situations.

Over time, I came to see how earlier life experiences, particularly those from childhood, can continue to influence our emotions, how relationships develop, and our responses to the everyday life challenges, from how we handle a difficult conversation to managing stressful situations or making decisions that feel aligned with what matters most. Often these experiences were never given the space or time to be fully understood or processed. Through my work and my own life experiences, I began to see how important it is to process and make sense of difficult experiences. This gradually led me to train as a therapist, so I could offer others the same kind of support that had helped me.

Today, my work is grounded in trauma-informed practice, drawing on EMDR, somatic approaches, and reflection on attachment patterns to help make sense of experiences and support emotional wellbeing. Together, we look at past or recent experiences that feel challenging or unresolved, and how they may continue to shape emotions, relationships, and everyday life. I also support people affected by adoption, including adopted adults, adoptive parents, and parents who have experienced the loss of a child through adoption. If you’re curious about how therapy might be helpful, we explore your unique experiences, how they may have shaped your thoughts, emotions, and relationships, and work together to discover ways of responding that build confidence, resilience, and trust in yourself.

Alongside my professional work, I know personally how life experiences can shape the way we see ourselves, others, and the world around us. Like many people, my own life journey has included moments that required reflection, growth, and healing. These experiences have shown me the courage it takes to sit with what feels difficult or uncomfortable, to let our guard down, and to face our darkest thoughts and meet ourselves with kindness and curiosity instead of blame or shame.

Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time in nature, walking, travelling, reading, and dancing salsa. These moments help me stay grounded and connected to the things that bring balance and enjoyment to everyday life.

For me, therapy is a thoughtful exploration of the inner world — a space for reflection, understanding, and healing. It would be a privilege to accompany you as you explore your own path forward.
